Wuhan coronavirus is also known as ‘novel coronavirus (nCoV)’ and ‘2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)’. It’s an emerging strain from the same family as those that cause ‘Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV)’ and those responsible for the SARS outbreak in 2003.
